Paré ("Paré," "we," "us") is operated by The F Word, Inc. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with when you use the Paré app.

Information we collect

You give us:

  • Account details — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in (including via Sign in with Apple or Google). If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive a relay address instead of your real email.

  • Your content — the pieces, wishlists, edits, outfits/looks, style-quiz choices, and any bio or profile details you add.

Collected automatically:

  • Usage and device data — how you interact with the app, app version, and device type, via analytics (see "Analytics").

  • Push token — if you enable notifications, a device token so we can send them.

  • Shopping activity — when you tap to shop a piece, our affiliate partner records the click and any resulting purchase so a commission can be attributed to your account (see "Shopping and Paré Bank").

We do not collect or store your payment card, bank, PayPal, or Venmo details. Those are entered directly with our payout provider (see below).

How we use your information

  • To provide and personalize the app — style you, learn your taste, organize your closet and wishlist, and track prices on pieces you save.

  • To calculate and pay your Paré Bank rewards.

  • To send notifications you've enabled (price drops, earnings).

  • To operate, secure, analyze, and improve Paré.

Shopping and Paré Bank (rewards)

When you shop through Paré, links are powered by Skimlinks, which tracks the click and any purchase to attribute affiliate commissions. Paré Bank pays you a share of the commission we earn as cashback, and a share to a user whose shared look led to a purchase.

Payouts are processed by Tremendous, Inc., a third-party rewards provider. To send your reward, we share your name and email with Tremendous. You choose your payout method (PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer, or prepaid card) and enter those details directly with Tremendous — Paré never sees or stores them. Rewards are subject to the terms shown in the app (confirmation hold, minimum cash-out, reversal on returns, forfeiture on account deletion).

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Paré, and never sell it:

  • Supabase — secure database and backend hosting.

  • Skimlinks — affiliate link tracking and commission reporting.

  • Tremendous — reward payouts (name and email only).

  • Apple / Google — authentication (Sign in with Apple / Google).

  • Google Firebase / Google — analytics and ad-campaign measurement.

  • Retailers — when you tap a link, you're taken to a third-party store governed by its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Google's ad-measurement tools to understand app usage and measure our advertising. This is first-party measurement; we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising, and we do not sell your data to data brokers.

Notifications

If you allow push notifications, we use your device token to send them. You can turn them off anytime in your device settings or in the app.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete Account), which removes your personal data from our systems, subject to any records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Deleting your account forfeits any unused Paré Bank balance.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA, or the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of certain processing. Children

Paré is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a revised "Last updated" date.

Paré Bank Terms

Paré Bank is a rewards program offered by The F Word, Inc. These terms govern how you earn and cash out rewards in the Paré app. By using Paré Bank, you agree to them.

How you earn

  • Shopping: When you shop through Paré, we may earn an affiliate commission from the retailer. Paré Bank credits you a share of that commission as cashback.

  • Sharing: When another Paré user shops a look you created and shared, you may earn a share of the commission from that purchase.

Rewards are a portion of commissions Paré actually receives. They are not a percentage of what you spend, and amounts vary by retailer and purchase.

Pending, available, and reversed

  • New rewards start as Pending while the retailer confirms the sale and its return window passes. This typically takes up to 30 to 90 days, depending on the retailer.

  • Once confirmed, a reward becomes Available to cash out.

  • If a purchase is returned, cancelled, or found ineligible, the related reward is reversed and removed from your balance, including after it has become Available.

Cashing out

  • The minimum balance to cash out is $5.00.

  • Payouts are processed by Tremendous, Inc. You choose how to receive your reward (such as PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer, or a prepaid card) and provide those details directly to Tremendous. Paré does not collect or store your payout details.

  • Cash-outs are sent to the name and email on your Paré account.

Balance and account

  • Your Paré Bank balance has no cash value except through a cash-out, earns no interest, and is not a bank account, deposit, or insured product. "Paré Bank" is the name of the rewards feature, not a banking service.

  • If you delete or close your account, or if we terminate it for violation of these terms, any unused balance is forfeited.

Fraud and abuse

We may withhold, reverse, or cancel rewards, and suspend or close accounts, for activity we reasonably believe is fraudulent or abusive, including self-referrals, fake or manipulated purchases, or attempts to game the program.

Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes on rewards you receive. If required by law, we or our payout provider may request tax information and issue a tax form once your rewards reach the reporting threshold in a calendar year.

Eligibility and changes

  • You must have a Paré account in good standing, and payouts are available to users who are 18 or older.

  • We may modify, pause, or discontinue Paré Bank, adjust earning rates, or correct errors at any time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
